Apple has just updated its Free App of the Week promotion and is giving away hocus for free starting today up to the next seven days. This will be the perfect time to get your hands on this app with a sure saving of $1. Let’s check out more details about Apple’s Free App of the Week.
You can test out your logical skills with hocus, a game app developed by Yunus Ayyildiz, a mind-bending minimal puzzle game which features various levels. Hocus is recognizably inspired by M.C. Escher drawings, mixed with impossible shapes and comes from the makers of another iOS puzzle game with the title Rop. Playing hocus gives players the task to move a red cube on a maze of gray beams making it touch the other red square. In addition, you can also design an illusion maze of your own.
“At a glance, hocus doesn’t look very complicated. You swipe to move a red cube along a latticework of plain gray beams. But don’t let the minimalist visuals fool you—the game’s intelligent, abstract puzzles force you to look at things in a new way, like a cubist translation of Monument Valley. As you progress, the levels quickly get complex. But the peaceful music and crisp design make spending time in its world a richly rewarding experience.” – App Store Editors’ Notes
The game features an attractive graphic design made with symmetries of geometric beams which will satisfy your eyes. Each levels offers more complex challenges as you progress through the game. Along with the beautifully crafted design comes an extremely relaxing soundtrack to keep you attached into the game. To give you more idea on how the game is played, you can check out the video below to see the game in action.
Hocus is available in the iOS App Store for free on both the iPhone and iPad.
