The latest model added to the Note family, the Galaxy Note 7, features some identical specifications with the Galaxy S7 edge. From its aesthetic design having the same curved screen as the edge to its internal components. The Galaxy Note 7 has truly evolved in achieving to be a personal companion for daily tasks more than just having a large screen. The company even skipped the number 6 in naming the latest Galaxy Note to have it in the same page as the company’s other flagship devices.
Hardly inspired from one of the company’s flagship device, the Galaxy S7 edge, the Note 7 is perfectly engineered to have the perfect balance in defining the curve for the comfort of the hand without risking the display to damage with the help of Gorilla Glass 5. It features a new perfect symmetrical design that makes it easy for users to hold and use the handset in just one hand without noticing that it carries a 5.7-inch screen display.
The Galaxy Note 7 now features a redesigned UX that definitely looks much more appealing and easier for the user’s eyes. It has diminished the clutter in its UI design by softening the colors and making a uniform layout with the icons. It comes with four stunning colors namely Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, Gold Platinum and the all new Blue Coral. It also showcases a Motion Wallpaper which performs similarly to the parallax effect making its wallpaper comes to life as you tilt the device.
The S Pen also receives some tweaking as it now has a reduced tip diameter of 0.7mm making it almost 50% finer than the previous S Pen. It also features an improved sensitivity to pressure and a button for additional task like erasing a drawing line. The company also streamlined its suite of apps for the S Pen with a single app called Samsung Notes. This is in response to the consumers’ request and needs.
The device also features a USB Type-C charging port which is symmetrical and can work upside down. When it comes to security, the company have implemented a new bio-metric security called IRIS scan in addition to the fingerprint authentication. It uses a proprietary algorithm that maps the contours of the iris and its pattern which is translated to a digital signature that can be used as an authentication tool in unlocking your device as well as on apps and services like Facebook, emails and the Secure Folder.
